Been working on this guy over the last week.
Trying to improve my skills in ZBrush and Mental Ray. Skin texture was made with polypaint. Quite happy with the current result but not yet finished. (the neck needs some work)

Yes, its in 3Ds max 2010 and Mental Ray.
Model was created in Zbrush 4, around 3 million polys. I exported a model around 200 polys and generated a displacement map for the rest of the detail.
Lighting is a Photometric Rectangle light as a Key Light and a point light for the rim. The bounce light is calculated using Final Gather.
I used Mental Ray Fast SSS for the skin and a template Arch & Design material for the eyes.
I’m still not finished with this character, will be adding the rest of the costume and create a pose. Hopefully will show more details over the next few weeks!
